Dr. Hope Sherie, MD, FACS is a board-certified cosmetic surgeon with extensive experience in gender-affirming surgery for trans women. Based in Charlotte, North Carolina, she completed a one-year fellowship in transgender surgery sanctioned by the American Academy of Cosmetic Surgery in 2012–2013. Patients travel from across the Carolinas and beyond to seek her expertise in gender-affirming procedures and body feminization.

Dr. Sherie is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons (FACS) and is board-certified by the American Academy of Cosmetic Surgery. She is also a member of the World Professional Association for Transgender Health (WPATH) and the Charlotte Transgender Health Care Group. She earned her medical degree from Eastern Virginia Medical School and served in the U.S. Air Force Medical Corps during medical school (1995–1999) and as an active-duty Air Force surgeon from 1999–2008.

Buttock & Hip Augmentation (Brazilian Butt Lift)

Buttock and hip augmentation can help create softer, more feminine curves and an hourglass silhouette. Using liposuction, excess fat is removed from areas such as the abdomen, waist, and back. A portion of this fat is then carefully transferred to the buttocks and hips to enhance shape and projection. Buttock implants are also available for patients who are not candidates for fat transfer.

Body Sculpting & VASER Liposuction

Dr. Sherie offers advanced body sculpting with VASER liposuction and natural fat grafting to refine contours and enhance feminine proportions. VASER technology allows for more precise fat removal and sculpting than traditional liposuction, while fat grafting can be used to add volume where desired.

Orchiectomy

An orchiectomy involves the removal of the testes, with or without removal of scrotal skin, while leaving the penis intact. This procedure is commonly performed as part of gender-affirming care and may result in hormonal changes that support feminization. Orchiectomy is typically performed under general anesthesia or conscious sedation, depending on the patient’s needs.

All surgeries and follow-up visits take place at Dr. Sherie’s private, trans-friendly surgical center in South End Charlotte, ensuring continuity of care in a supportive environment.

Out-of-Town Patients

Patients traveling from outside the Charlotte area may take advantage of optional recovery packages, which can include:

  • Post-operative supplements
  • Dressings and garments
  • Assistance with lodging
  • Optional overnight medical caregiver support

Booking Your Surgery

  • Consultations are available in person or by phone. A $100 consultation fee applies and is credited toward your procedure.
  • Payment options include cash, credit cards, and checks. Medical financing is available through CareCredit and Alphaeon (additional fees may apply).
  • A 5% discount is available with a valid military or VA ID.
  • Dr. Sherie does not accept insurance, but her office will provide procedure codes and documentation for patients who wish to submit claims independently.
  • In-house payment option: A flexible, layaway-style plan is available with no credit check. Quotes are honored for three months following consultation. A $1,000 deposit is required to secure pricing and schedule surgery. Payments may be made in any amount and at any frequency, with the remaining balance due 15 days prior to surgery. Patients may reschedule once or cancel up to 15 days before surgery without penalty.
