Dr. Gabriel Del Corral, MD, FACS is a double board-certified plastic and reconstructive surgeon who offers Vaginoplasty and other gender-affirming procedures at the MedStar Center for Gender Affirmation in Washington D.C. and Baltimore, Maryland. Fellowship trained in microsurgery, Dr. Del Corral also has expertise in reconstructive surgery, maxillofacial surgery and cosmetic surgery. He specializes in Gender Affirmation Surgery, and has a particular interest in Vaginoplasty and Facial Feminization.

Dr. Del Corral offers the following feminizing surgery procedures:

Vaginoplasty: Penile Inversion, Sigmoid Colon and Peritoneal Pull-Through methods; one-stage procedure; hair removal not required; robotic-assisted approach to minimize incisions.

Vaginoplasty Revisions: Dr. Del Corral has a specific interest in revision cases post-Vaginoplasty. A secondary procedure can include revisions to: the urethra, neovaginal canal, labia minora and majora, addressing appearance and function.

Vulvoplasty: Suited to those who aren't interested in receiving penetrative vaginal sex; have concerns about age and recovery; identify as non-binary and feel that Vulvoplasty is an appropriate choice; or have higher risk factors.

Orchiectomy: Removal of testicles. Beyond gender affirmation, Orchiectomy also reduces testosterone levels and may allow you to reduce estrogen dosage; decreases risk of in thromboembolic and cardiovascular risk associated with high estrogen doses; and eliminates spironolactone's diuretic effects.

Surgery Requirements
Dr. Del Corral follows WPATH guidelines for surgery. In order to schedule you for a consult with Dr. Del Corral, we would need the following documents to be sent to the office for review:

• One to two letters of support from qualified mental health professionals. The number needed is dependent on your insurance plan and the surgery you wish to have. Please contact your insurance company to verify what they require to authorize your desired procedure.
• A letter from your hormone specialist stating you have been on 12 months of continuous hormones for genital procedures, unless clinically contraindicated.
• A referral from your primary care, if required by your insurance.
• A copy of your last office visit note from your primary care provider or endocrinologist, that includes a physical exam.

Dr. Del Corral will operate on minors with parental consent.
